Kaylie wrote this song, not intentionally. She wrote her feelings down in her diary and realized the words made a good song. She's a nice singer, too. This should show Kaylie that she'd still have a great career a singer and songwriter. So even if she doesn't make it to the Olympics, she still has something positive in her future to look forward to. It's something she could concentrate on after the Olympics.

After Damon found out Emily was pregnant he told her what happened with Kaylie. She ran off. Than Damon went to Kaylie to tell her that he belongs with Emily. Than he went after EMILY not Kaylie. We last see him getting on a bus to Vegas. He was amazing!
*Damon was freaked out when Emily told him about the baby and her plan to move in with him. While she was packing, Kaylie showed up and told her what happened before she knew Emily was pregnant, part of her (Kaylie) recovery was no secrets. Then Kaylie encouraged Damon to go after Emily because she knew how they felt about each other.
